1. Who we are
AskPropFirm ("we", "us", "the site") is an independent editorial publication covering proprietary trading firms. Reviews and coupons published on this site are written by our editorial team. We earn a commission on some outbound links — see our Terms of Use for the full affiliate disclosure.

2. What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. In practice that means three buckets:
- Analytics data — anonymised page views, referrer, country (city-level at most), browser and device class. We do not store IP addresses in plain form.
- Affiliate tracking — when you click a partner link (e.g. an FTMO offer), our affiliate partner sets a cookie under their own domain so the commission is attributed correctly. We do not see your account at the partner.
- Voluntary submissions — if you email us, fill the contact form or sign up to a future newsletter, we store the address and message until the conversation is closed (typically 24 months).
3. What we do not collect
- No payment data. We never see card numbers — partner firms handle their own checkout.
- No trading account credentials. Ever.
- No third-party sale of personal data. We have never sold a user record and the business model does not require it.
4. Cookies
We use a small set of cookies. The full list, including expiry and purpose, lives in our Cookie Policy. You can decline non-essential cookies via the banner on your first visit or in your browser settings at any time.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
Where European data protection law applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interest — basic analytics and security logging.
- Consent — non-essential cookies, newsletter sign-up, contact submissions.
- Contract — only when you ask us a question that requires a back-and-forth exchange.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you. We honour requests within 30 days. Where you are protected by GDPR, CCPA or an equivalent regime, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention
Analytics records are aggregated and retained for 14 months, then deleted. Email correspondence is kept for as long as the conversation is active and up to 24 months thereafter. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Children
Prop trading is an adult financial product. This site is not intended for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We rewrite this page whenever something material changes — a new tool, a new sub-processor, a regulatory update. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
